You can prepare the traditional roasted turkey at home and can make the holiday yummier. I am going to share a recipe for a delicious turkey that you can make at home and can enjoy the flavor like the fresh market.
It will take 25 to 30 minutes for getting prepare. Let’s have a look at the ingredients first.
- 1 fresh or frozen turkey, thawed if necessary (about 12 to 14 pounds)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 green apple, quartered
- 1 small onion, quartered
- ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
- 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
- 6 cups less-sodium chicken stock
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and place the roasting rack in a deep roasting pan.

- Place the roasting pan with the drippings on two burners over medium heat; whisk in the flour. Heat for 5 minutes, scraping browned bits from the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon, adding the remaining 2 or 3 cups of stock and vinegar.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and continue to cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened, stirring occasionally. If a smoother consistency is desired, strain the gravy through a fine-mesh strainer. Mix in the parsley. This recipe yields approximately 214 cups.
